Overview
A hot hatch under twenty grand. Really.
The Polo GTI sits in that rare patch of the used market where you get a genuinely quick, genuinely grown-up small car without spending a fortune. It is built to Volkswagen's usual high standard, it is small enough to park anywhere, and it has enough performance to make every journey feel like a choice rather than a chore. If you want a hot hatch that also happens to be sensible, this is the one.
Outside
Still looks new. It's seven years old.
Volkswagen got the proportions exactly right on this generation. The GTI-specific honeycomb grille, the red accent stripe, the deeper front bumper — it all adds up to a car that looks purposeful without being aggressive.
